Haiduk Press is based on the premise that the most important freedom is the freedom to love. As long as men who love each other and boys who love each other are still persecuted, works on gay history, gay culture, and gay literature will need to be published as a bulwark against bigotry, ignorance and homophobia. Ranging from gay history works such as the restoration of the gay Bible, the ancient Greek myths of male love, to the use of queer studies to refute Evangelist homophobic dogma, to critical studies of modern gay literature, Haiduk Press presents non-fiction works that gently challenge the cultural status quo and conventional wisdom. |
